Suicide themes
A number of the main characters are therapists, so they deal with clients who are going through issues like OCD, intrusive thoughts, and depression. We learn that one of their clients has died from a suspected suicide after a bout of depression. It is depicted as surprising news and not necessarily a deliberate act. We do not see the deceased.
Sexual references
Characters talk about trying different sexual positions and having threesomes. This is always done with a comedic tone.
Drug use
A character accidentally eats a lot of cannabis edibles. This causes them to feel and act strangely, declare they are “dying”, and end up being taken by ambulance to hospital for observation. The edibles belonged to the character’s son, who is made to feel bad by other people.
Offensive language
Characters say words like “sh*t”, “f*ck” and “*sshole” when they’re excited or stressed, or for comic effect.
