Suicide

A character volunteers to stay behind in a situation that will mean others would be saved, but they would end up dead. There is no death scene.

Violence

There is violence in the show related to survival and brutality. Any wounds shown are not detailed. Some of the strongest scenes include:

• A character slits another’s throat. The action is quick and shocking, but we only see blood briefly.
• Many characters are shot throughout the show. Some are killed, and some wounded to varying degrees.
• A character plans and builds a bomb to use as a distraction rather than a weapon, but the explosion may be disturbing to some viewers.
• There is threat of a nuclear meltdown, which is tense, and related explosions in the bunker cause injury and death to some characters.

Content that may disturb

A character dies after giving birth due to blood loss related to preeclampsia. We see some of this blood as it pools, but it is not lingered on. The baby survives.

Child neglect is depicted, including hunger, and the parents are shown passed out on a couch with needle marks in their arms.

Sex scenes

A man and woman are understood to have sex in a bed, but we don’t see nudity.

Offensive language

There is some use of offensive language, particularly in tense moments. This includes “sh*t” and “f*ck”.
