Content that may disturb
Themes of domestic violence and child abuse may be quite distressing for viewers. One of the more disturbing scenes includes a young woman who comes home after partying, and it becomes clear that she has left a baby home alone. She is very drunk and injures herself when trying to break in.
Violence
Although there is little actual violence seen on screen, Waru deals with overall themes of child abuse and domestic violence which may be upsetting for viewers.
In one scene, a character snaps at their children and pushes one of them against a wall.
Sex scenes
Two characters have sex in a bathroom. While there’s no nudity, the scene is quite drawn out, lasting around 60 seconds.
Offensive language
The use of offensive language includes sSeveral variations of the words f**ck, as well as sh*t and b*tch are used.
