Why did it get this rating?

This series was self-rated by Disney+. You can find out more about self-rating by streaming providers here.

Nudity

During a girls’ trip, some of the women go skinny-dipping. While their breasts are blurred and they keep their underwear on, it’s clear they are semi-nude. In another episode, a male stripper performs alongside two of the husbands. All three men are topless during the performance.

Offensive language

Offensive language is used throughout the series including words such as “f*ck”, “sh*t” and “b*tch”. This is usually in a casual manner, said in humour or out of frustration. Cast members are often mean to each other in person, and can say offensive things online or behind each other's backs in conversation.

Sexual themes

Cast members talk about sex and relationships with blunt honesty, and there is a strong focus on this throughout the episodes. Viewers will see discussions about sexual issues like a woman talking about her difficulty achieving an orgasm, and in an episode where the group gets together for a sex toy party. This season dives deeper into the details of the swinging-scandal with Taylor revealing that couples had sex in the same shower together and in the same bed at the same time.

Cruelty and bullying

The show features instances of bullying and harsh interpersonal dynamics, both on- and off-screen. Cast members often speak to each other in aggressive or cutting ways, with arguments escalating quickly during group events. These tensions spill over onto social media, where online exchanges between cast members can be equally intense and hurtful. The show does not shy away from portraying the emotional impact of these conflicts, adding to the overall drama and complexity of the relationships. While each season tends to frame a particular cast member as the “villain,” it’s important to consider how editing choices and perspective can shape audience perceptions.

Sexual violence themes

Mikayla opens up about her childhood experience of sexual abuse, which continued for several years before she disclosed it to her mother—who unfortunately did not respond supportively. While the details of the abuse are not discussed, the scenes are emotionally intense, particularly during her conversation with her siblings and later with a sexual trauma therapist. Since the release of Season 2, Mikayla has shared more about her experience in various podcast interviews.

Helplines:

The sexual violence and bullying could be upsetting for some viewers, especially for those who have gone through similar experiences. If you are struggling with what you have seen on-screen please reach out for help. If you or someone you know needs to talk:
