Content that may disturb and violence
There is a lot of bodycam footage from police and first responders who discover the scene. We don’t see the bodies or blood, because these are either blacked out or edited out, but we hear some of the verbal and emotional responses as the officers register what they are seeing. This is very impactful to watch. While this is happening, the surviving room-mates are waiting outside the house, scared, confused and crying. The real-life footage makes the scene particularly impactful, even if we are not shown any injury or blood.
We learn that it is apparent the murders were done by stabbing.
We see some crime scene photos. No bodies are visible, but some photos contain blood splatter.
We learn about the potential “incel” motivations of the alleged murderer.
The use of background soundtrack intensifies emotional tone of certain aspects of the documentary.
Offensive language
In the bodycam footage, officers say “f*ck” when confronted with the scene. They also say “sh*t” when discussing it.
