Why did it get this rating?

This show was self-rated by Disney. You can find out more about self-rating by streaming providers here.

Fantasy violence

Like other previous Percy Jackson films, the show contains fantasy violence and characters frequently in peril. There are a few scenes include characters fighting each other and monsters using blades, spears, and other weapons. Character’s deaths are also stylised (when some characters die their body is vaporised). The lack of serious wounds, injuries, and gory details make these scenes less impactful.

Frightening imagery

We see mythical creatures in some scenes, some can be frightening. Although the show is fantastical, these creatures may be frightening for more younger viewers.
