Horror
There is a mysterious, huge underwater creature. It causes multiple deaths, including:
- A building structure collapses and disappears into the water, with someone trapped inside.
- One of the most gruesome deaths involves a steel cable being wrapped tightly around a person's stomach, pinning them in place. We later see they have been completely bisected by this cable – we see their legless torso with guts hanging out.
- A boat of people is destroyed by the creature, leaving a huge amount of blood in the water around the wreckage of the boat.
- It grabs a submersible with people inside and opens the hatch while they’re deep underwater.
Other scary things include:
- Characters get strange, scarred markings on their skin.
- People are infected by tainted ice, causing a sickness that creates insatiable thirst, fevers, and hallucinations.
- A sinister, hag-like creature appears multiple times, including once looming over a person who is tied to a chair.
- There are many jump scares, including when the sea creature suddenly attacks people who are on or near the water.
- A person shoots someone and we see significant blood splatter.
- We briefly see someone’s leg getting gruesomely sawn off.
Sex scenes
There is a very brief, consensual sex scene between the hag creature and a human. The lighting is dim, and nothing is shown in detail beyond thrusting movements.
Nudity
We see the back view of a fully naked character in a non-sexual context.
Offensive language
There is some use of offensive language, including "shit", "fuck" and "Jesus".
