Why did it get this rating?

This film was cross-rated by the Film and Video Labelling Body. You can find out more about cross-rating here.

Coarse language

There is infrequent coarse language implied, but not directly said. For example:

  • One character says, “He’ll wipe your a–” (implying “ass”, but is cut off before this is said)
  • A toy character mispronounces the word “sh*t” a few times (e.g. “Call me Agent Shet”).

Suspenseful scenes

There are some scenes that show the toys being lost, damaged or separated from their owners. Some toys attempt rescues and escapes from tense situations. A large hog almost eats more than one toy.

These sequences are suspenseful and some children may find them a little scary.

Bullying

The main human girl character is made fun of by other children because she still plays with toys, and she is upset by this. She also has her feelings hurt on social media (on her tablet) due to interaction with her peers, feeling rejected and excluded.
