Violence

This film contains animated fantasy violence where characters shoot and stab each other with futuristic laser weapons. Many characters are killed onscreen in non-bloody ways, and many more are implied to be killed offscreen.

Some of the strongest moments of violence include:

  • In one scene, the decapitated heads of alien creatures are briefly seen as they are presented on a stretcher, but there is no blood or gore.
  • Most of the violence is perpetrated against robots, but some is towards men and women. Soldiers are heard saying “mad down!” and “get a medic!” after their comrades fall in battle.
  • A soldier is shot through the heart with an energy beam during a battle. We don’t see anything graphic.
  • One spaceship explodes, implying that all the human passengers are killed, but this may go over younger viewers’ heads.
