Horror
The film is a slasher horror involving jump scares and masked killers with superhuman stamina who threaten, stalk, and kill people, in the style of the previous films in the franchise.
Graphic violence
Scream 7 contains a lot of violence with bloody and gory detail. Some of the strongest examples include:
- A character is chased, falls onto a knife, is doused with petrol and burned alive.
- A character is stabbed repeatedly but survives.
- A character is repeatedly slashed and stabbed, resulting in disembowelment. Internal organs fall to the floor and hang from the body.
- A character has their face dragged across broken glass. They are shown dead, covered in blood, with glass fragments embedded in their throat.
- A character is impaled through the chin with a metal beer tap. Blood and beer pour from his mouth.
- A character is stabbed through the temples. The knife is shown penetrating their head.
- A character is shot in the face multiple times, obliterating their facial features.
Offensive language
Offensive language includes ‘f**k’, sh*t’, ‘a**hole’, and ‘b*tch,’ mostly used by characters aggressively to insult or threaten others.
