This animated short film lightly explores romantic relationships between teenagers, setting it apart from other films in the Barbie franchise.

Adult themes

There are mild adult themes throughout the film, including light sexual references (“bustin’ right out of my skin”) in song lyrics. Young children are unlikely to pick up on these references.

A teenage girl suspects her boyfriend is cheating on her and gets upset.

A teenage boy is hesitant about asking his crush out. His hesitancy is lightly mocked by his friends.
