Violence

This film contains several types of violence, including acts of terrorism, corpses, and people being hanged. Characters stab and shoot each other in violent ways.

Some of the strongest moments of violence include:

  • A character’s throat is slit very suddenly and bloodily.
  • One woman is shot in the head with a high tech gun, leaving a wound.
  • There is a character with a removable eye, which is sometimes removed revealing an empty eye socket.
  • A character breaks another character’s neck with only her hands.

Suicide

There is one example of suicide, which happens in the context of a suicide bombing. The scene involves two terrorists, in two different areas on a huge starship in space, activating bombs hidden under their skin at the same time. The bombs detonate, implying the deaths of millions of people, including two children who were sitting next to one of the terrorists.

Sex scenes

There are sex scenes depicting thrusting, moaning, and lots of bare skin. Woman are seen topless from the back and side as well as wearing bras and underwear. A man’s bare buttocks are also shown.

One young girl offers to show a boy her “tits.”

Sexual assault themes

Woman are used as sex slaves and their memories are erased to be used again, which blurs the lines around consent and sexual assault.

Offensive language

This film contains frequent use of offensive language, with words like “f**k,” “sh*t” and “d*ck.”

Helplines:

The suicide and sex slavery themes could be upsetting for some viewers, especially for those who have similar experiences. If you are struggling with what you have seen on-screen please reach out for help. If you or someone you know needs to talk:
