Why did it get this rating?

We try to avoid spoilers, but because of the nature of the content, there are spoilers below.

Violence

The film contains occasional moments of strong violence between humans. There is a sudden and shocking moment where a man’s throat is slit. He bleeds and chokes. In another scene, a man is hit with a baseball bat.

Animal cruelty

A crowd of men hit a donkey with baseball bats. This is shown from the donkey’s perspective as he falls over. Afterwards, we see his matted and bloody fur. While the bats are not shown hitting the donkey, the men’s cruelty and violence has a strong emotional impact.

Offensive language

The film contains occasional offensive language. Words include “motherf**kers”, “f**k” and “f**king”. This occurs in the English dialogue and in the subtitles for the other languages.

Content that may disturb

There are images of animals in cages and the sound of farm animals being killed.
