Deathloop

What's it about?

Deathloop has players assume the role of Colt, an amnesiac head of security of a secretive island. Host to old military facilities, and a large scale experiment into time, the island is stuck in a loop of a single day. As Colt investigates he realises he must assassinate all eight central figures of the island to break the cycle. With a small army of armed guards in the way, and the (optionally human controlled) antagonist Julianna working to take Colt down, players must learn the repeating cycle, to arrange events in such a way that they can kill all their targets.

What to expect

Deathloop is a very stylish first person shooter/action game. It allows players to engage in the frequent violence of outright combat or take a slower approach with a series of stealthy murders. The violence is shown in a bloody and sometimes gory way. However the sci-fi setting and time loop scenario help mitigate the impact by framing the game in an alternate world. Nonetheless, such repetitive violence remains unsuitable for younger audiences, as it has the potential to inure them towards violence. The sheer extent of highly offensive language contributes to the restriction.
