Hank Thompson, a burned-out former baseball player, is suddenly pulled into a deadly fight for survival in the criminal underbelly of 1990s New York, forced to navigate an underworld he never thought he’d enter.

Violence

This crime thriller film contains frequent fights and serious assaults, sometimes resulting in death. Some of the stronger moments include: 

  •  A character is hit on the head with a baseball bat and another character is stabbed in the foot with a broken bat. 
  • Characters are shot dead resulting in blood splatter and realistic blood detail.
  • A character is held down during an interrogation and has some surgical staples painfully removed with a pair of pliers.

Offensive language

Characters use offensive language such as “f**k” and its derivatives, in a variety of contexts. This language is sometimes used to threaten and intimidate. “C**t” is used once.

Drug use

A character is depicted snorting a line of white powder off a silver tray.

Content that may disturb 

A character has nightmares of a car crash that killed his best friend. Bloody and graphic injuries are depicted in the aftermath of the crash.
